About AIC

Principals

Executive Principal

Carolyn Solomon
AIC was established July 2003 as the first of several AIC schools planned globally.  The vision was ambitious and expansive. The reputed International Baccalaureate Diploma therefore was the obvious choice of curriculum, not only in providing a rigorous academic pathway to the world’s top universities, but also in providing a highly regarded international academic benchmark. Already AIC graduates have realised the vision by gaining acceptance to the world’s top universities.

Inquirers, thinkers, risk-takers, communicators in more than one language and knowledgeable, the AIC graduate knows how to learn and to live in the contemporary world.  Open-minded, caring, principled, balanced and reflective, the AIC graduate has discovered not only the cultural diversity of the world, but also the importance of the universal values which unite humanity.

In a world increasingly interconnected, the profile of the AIC student describes the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to achieve, to lead and to contribute.

Mike Parry

AIC offers committed students the opportunity to realise their potential at this level, before moving into higher education and the world of work where I truly hope they will make a difference on a local or global scale. The IB qualification equips our young men and women with excellent skills with which to engage with academic challenges of university life and the broader contribution to community and society.

We look for students to push themselves beyond the boundaries that would normally be set and we support them in their endeavors. Therefore a can do attitude is a must for a student to study the IB at AIC, as without that approach the opportunities available will be lost and potential will go to waste.

I am constantly impressed, even after 20 years in the profession, by what our students are capable of achieving. They go further, apply themselves more fully and engage with the tasks more completely than I have experienced before and it is a privilege to be able to work with them in this vibrant atmosphere.
