Scott Zhang graduated from AIC in May 2010 and has now started his junior year (third year) at Columbia University, double majoring in math and physics. In both his freshman and sophomore year Scott won the Professor Van Amringe Mathematical Prize. In the summer of 2012 he participated in Research Experience for Undergraduate program in University of Minnesota, did research in combinatorics, and is in the process of coauthoring a paper with his professor. Scott is taking graduate level classes in mathematics, with emphasis on geometry. He has been working as a teaching assistant for the math department since 2011.
Scott joined the Undergraduate Math Society, Society of Physics Students and the Table Tennis Club. In his free time (which he can't have very much of) Scott enjoys going to museums, concerts, and watching classic films with friends.
