Frequently Asked Bus Questions
Why do students need to travel by bus?
AIC has a policy of no student drivers. This is to ensure compliance with Auckland Council resource consent rules and to avoid congestion at the College. Parents are advised to drop off and pick up students only if necessary and away from the school gates. We suggest parents drop off students beyond the College, at the end of Heaphy Street.
Will students be issued with bus passes?
Yes AIC will issue bus passes.
Who will organize the bus passes, what happens when they are lost or forgotten by a student?
The AIC receptionist will re-issue a pass if a student loses theirs, at a small cost. If a students forgets their pass but they are in uniform they can get on the bus. The driver will then report their name to the bus supervisor at school to check they should be using the service.

All students will be able to have their breakfast in good time to leave on the allocated bus. Students who miss the bus for no valid reason will have to take the public bus or catch a taxi.
